Information on educational opportunities in U.S. PDF Print E-mail

Manipal, Udupi 25:  The United States Educational Foundation in India (USEFI) has joined hands with Manipal University to provide information on educational opportunities in the United States.

Addressing presspersons here on Thursday, regional officer of USEFI Janaka Pushpanathan and Vice-Chancellor of Manipal University Rajasekharan Warrier said that the foundation sought to expand the level of educational advisory services to Indian towns beyond the metros. Manipal University wished to provide educational information services at Manipal as "Education — USA Satellite Information Centre (SIC) in India".

The information to be provided includes undergraduate and graduate courses of accredited institutions of higher education in the U.S.
Fulbright fellowships

At present, the USEFI offers educational advice, fellowship support and facilitates academic dialogue between the U.S. and India. "Since its inception in 1950, USEFI has been involved in providing 'Fulbright fellowships' for Indian and American students, faculty and professionals and promoting discussions among 'fullbrighters' and their communities as an outgrowth of educational exchange," they said.

"This collaborative effort will greatly benefit students, faculty, and professionals by providing accurate information on full range of educational opportunities in the U.S.", Ms. Pushpanathan and Prof. Warrier said.
