Traffic curbs to facilitate roadworks PDF Print E-mail

Mangalore, March 15: Deputy Commissioner M. Maheshwar Rao has banned the movement of vehicles between Balmatta Circle and Mangalore Nursing Home with immediate effect. According to a press release here on Thursday, he said the move was to facilitate the four-laning and concreting of this stretch. “The ban will be in force till the completion of work,” the release said.

Routes

Private and KSRTC buses coming from Kasargod, B.C. Road and Puttur, and proceeding towards State Bank of India (SBI) terminus via Balmatta Circle and Ambedkar (Jyothi) Circle should take the Old Kankanady Road from Mahavir (Pumpwell) Circle and proceed via Falnir Road. Route number 5 buses too should proceed via Falnir Road from Kankanady Circle.

Buses

Buses plying from SBI terminus towards Karavali Circle via Ambedkar and Balmatta circles should proceed towards Horticulture junction, turn right and join Karavali Circle. Buses coming from Udupi and Karkala and plying towards SBI terminus should proceed via Nanthoor, Mallikatte and Bunts Hostel Circle.

KSRTC buses coming from Mahavir Circle should proceed via Bendore Well, Mallikatte and Bunts Hostel Circle.

Ban on parking

Parking of all types of vehicles has been banned on the flanks of the stretches between Horticulture Junction to Balmatta Circle, Kankanady Circle to Mahavir Circle along old Kankanady Road, and Horticulture Junction to St. Agnes College at Bendore.
