Kumaraswamy to visit Udupi, Mangalore PDF Print E-mail

Udupi, March 15: President of the district unit of the Janata Dal (Secular) Deviprasad Shetty said here on Friday, that the former Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy would visit the district on Tuesday as part of his “Jaitra Yatre.”


Addressing presspersons, Mr. Shetty said the aim of the yatre was to strengthen the party and to propagate the achievements of the Karnataka Development Front (KDF) Government, headed by Mr. Kumaraswamy.

Mr. Kumaraswamy would be received at Hejmady by party workers and brought to Kaup. He would offer prayers at a mosque at Hejmady and at the Mariyamma temple in Kaup. A convention of Janata Dal (S) workers of Dakshina Kannada district will be held at the Town Hall in Mangalore on Tuesday. A press release from president of the district unit of the party K.B. Balaraj Rai said here on Thursday, that Mr. Kumaraswamy, State president of the unit Merajuddin Patel, working president Narayana Swami, Abdul Azim and Y.S.V. Datta will participate.
